Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health (CMH) Foundation Mission Statement
The Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health (CMH) Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded by physicians who are dedicated to promoting
cardiovascular and metabolic health by improving patient care. Led by a steering committee of renowned experts on cardiovascular and metabolic health, the Foundation offers balanced,
cutting-edge educational initiatives for practitioners to improve their understanding of
cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, inform them of the latest treatment recommendations,
and offer practical strategies for optimizing the care of patients with these diseases.
Making the Cardiometabolic Connection.
The CMH Foundation believes that as the prevalence of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases
increases, more dynamic medical education in this arena is also needed—education that helps
physicians understand the connection between the various risk factors that contribute to
these diseases. The Foundation will provide educational initiatives that address important
cardiometabolic risk factors, such as:
- Diabetes
- Dyslipidemia
- Hypertension
- Comorbidities associated with these factors
To meet this need, CMH is gathering a panel of nationally renowned experts in the field of
cardiovascular and metabolic disease to guide the development of comprehensive educational
programs that will address the full spectrum of care for patients with these diseases.
